v Fundamental Premise of God’s Word:

• “Meaning” is not our subjective ___thoughts___ read into the text but God’s objective ___truth___ read out of the text.

v Bible Study Exercise for NEXT Week:

• Examine Romans 12:1-2  – Steps of Observation and Interpretation.
• Write down as many observations as you can and in 1-2 sentences and in your own words write down the meaning of this passage.

Romans 12:1-2 

 ¹Therefore I urge you, brethren,

          by the mercies of God,

to present your bodies

          a living and holy sacrifice,

              acceptable to God,

         which is your spiritual service of worship.

 ²And do not be conformed to this world,

      but be transformed

            by the renewing of your mind,

            so that you may prove what the will of God is,

                  that which is good

                                     and acceptable

                                      and perfect.
